A Hands-On History Activity Connects Research, Design and Teamwork
Raipur: Vihaan Garcha and Aanya Paliwal Grade 9 IGCSE students of N.H. Goel World School explored Second World War history through a creative model-making activity, constructing their own versions of a Panzer tank using LEGO blocks.

During the interactive History session, students examined historical photographs and translated their observations into three-dimensional models.
The task encouraged them to study structural details, interpret visual evidence and make thoughtful design choices.

Working collaboratively, students combined historical inquiry with creativity and problem-solving. Building the models gave them an opportunity to discuss ideas, share responsibilities and connect their research with a practical task.
The activity demonstrated how hands-on learning can deepen engagement with history.
By moving from photographs to models, students developed their observation and critical-thinking skills while exploring the technology associated with a significant period in world history.
