CBSE and Cambridge Students Present “Talking Without Words – From Smoke Signals to Emojis and Code”

Raipur, 23 October 2026: Lakshya House students from the CBSE and Cambridge programmes at N.H. Goel World School conducted an engaging assembly on “Talking Without Words – From Smoke Signals to Emojis and Code.”

Through informative speeches, students explored how signs, symbols and gestures communicate ideas and feelings.

Examples such as traffic signals, warning signs, emojis and digital symbols highlighted the importance of visual communication in everyday life.

A lively mime performance demonstrated how facial expressions, gestures and body language can convey emotions and messages without speech.

It encouraged the audience to observe carefully and appreciate the role of expression in understanding others.

An interactive quiz invited students to identify familiar signs and symbols and explain their meanings, adding an enjoyable element of participation to the programme.

The assembly encouraged creativity, confidence and teamwork while broadening students’ understanding of communication. It concluded with a meaningful reminder: words are only one way to communicate—signs, gestures and expressions can also speak volumes.
