Math Lab Activity Makes Geometry Interactive and Enjoyable

Raipur: Grade 5-I Cambridge students of N.H. Goel World School participated in an engaging Math Lab activity using the Akaar Parivar learning resource to explore quadrilaterals and their properties.

Through hands-on investigation, students identified different types of quadrilaterals and compared them according to their:

  • Number of sides
  • Number of vertices
  • Angles
  • Parallel sides

Working in groups, the learners observed patterns, discussed their findings and discovered the unique properties of each shape.

The activity encouraged teamwork, critical thinking and mathematical reasoning. It helped students understand geometry through practical exploration instead of memorising facts.

The Math Lab experience strengthened the students’ conceptual understanding of quadrilaterals while making the learning process interactive, meaningful and enjoyable.

When students explore shapes with their hands, mathematical ideas take shape in their minds.
