Grades 11 and 12 Science Students Discuss “AI: Empowering Humanity or Replacing Humanity?”
Raipur, 7 August 2026: The Audio-Visual Room at N.H. Goel World School came alive with ideas, arguments and thoughtful discussions during a Science Debate Competition for students of Grades 11 and 12.
The participants debated the thought-provoking topic “AI: Empowering Humanity or Replacing Humanity?” They presented well-researched ideas, sharp rebuttals and different views on the growing role of artificial intelligence in society.
The programme was conducted in the presence of the Principal, judges Ms. Monica Panikar and Mr. Suresh Sharma, and members of the teaching faculty.
Competition Results
- First Prize: Gurbani Sabhlok, Grade 12, Lakshya House
- First Runner-up: Khyati Jain, Grade 12, Vishwas House
- Second Runner-up: Jyoti Goyal, Grade 11, Gyan House
Gurbani Sabhlok and Khyati Jain spoke against the motion, while Jyoti Goyal presented her arguments in favour of the motion.

Each participant demonstrated careful preparation, clear communication and the ability to present arguments with confidence and conviction.
The Principal appreciated the students for their impressive performances and encouraged them to continue asking questions, examining different viewpoints and expressing their ideas confidently.
The debate helped students strengthen their research, critical-thinking, listening and public-speaking skills. It also encouraged them to consider both the opportunities and concerns associated with artificial intelligence.
The session concluded after an afternoon of lively discussion and meaningful learning, proving that every informed voice has the power to inspire.
Artificial intelligence may shape the future—but thoughtful young minds will decide how that future is built.
