Teachers Attend Award Leader Training to Support Student Leadership and Personal Development
Raipur: N.H. Goel World School is preparing to expand opportunities for experiential learning through the International Award for Young People (IAYP). As part of this initiative, Ms. Shabnoor Navaz and Ms. Shraddha Agrawal attended the IAYP Award Leader Training in Bengaluru on 13 and 14 October 2026.
Known internationally as The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, the programme encourages young people to discover their interests and challenge themselves through skill development, physical recreation, community service and adventurous journeys. With guidance from Award Leaders and adult volunteers, participants work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards through personalised programmes.
The school’s proposed roadmap includes an IAYP Club to nurture leadership and teamwork, along with a bulletin board to share student achievements and experiences. IAYP Adventours will focus on adventure, exploration and practical learning, encouraging confidence, resilience and self-reliance.
A Buddy and Mentorship Programme will promote peer support and shared progress. IAYP Beyond Boundaries will recognise students who challenge themselves and explore new possibilities, while the IAYP Leadership League will provide opportunities to lead teams, organise activities and strengthen communication and decision-making skills.
Through these planned initiatives, N.H. Goel World School aims to help students pursue their interests, contribute to their communities and take greater responsibility for their personal growth. The programme reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate and responsible young people.
