Raipur: Students of N.H. Goel World School celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima with love, respect and gratitude.
The students warmly welcomed their teachers by applying a traditional tilak on their foreheads. This beautiful gesture expressed their sincere appreciation for the guidance, care and knowledge given by their teachers.
Guru Purnima is a special day dedicated to honouring teachers and mentors. A Guru plays an important role in shaping a student’s character, guiding them towards the right path and preparing them for a successful future.
The importance of a Guru has also been beautifully described in our Vedas and ancient traditions:
“Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu,
Gurur Devo Maheshwara,
Gurur Sakshat Parabrahma,
Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah.”
These meaningful words teach us that a Guru is like Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara, and deserves our highest respect.
The celebration created a warm and joyful atmosphere across the school. It reminded everyone that teachers do much more than provide academic knowledge—they inspire, support and guide students throughout their lives.
