Newly Licensed Commercial Pilot Shares Her Journey with Cambridge Students of Grades VIII–XII

Raipur, Chhattisgarh, 1 August 2026: N.H. Goel World School proudly welcomed its alumna Ms. Shruti Agrawal Rateria of the Batch of 2022–23 for a special motivational session at Rangshilp Auditorium on Saturday.
Now a licensed commercial pilot, Ms. Rateria returned to her alma mater to share her inspiring journey with students of the Cambridge Wing from Grades VIII to XII.
A Homecoming with Altitude
Ms. Rateria holds a DGCA-approved Commercial Pilot Licence—Aeroplane, with Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating (ME/IR).
The session began with a warm introduction tracing her journey from a student with a dream to a certified aviator. She spoke about her years at N.H. Goel World School and the demanding path she followed after graduation.

She explained how becoming a commercial pilot requires rigorous flight training, strong technical knowledge, discipline and mental resilience. Her honest account helped students understand the dedication required to meet the high standards of the aviation industry.

An Inspiring Interaction
The interactive session was filled with curiosity and excitement. Students asked questions about Ms. Rateria’s training, the challenges she faced and the experience of flying an aircraft.
She answered the questions openly and encouraged students to remain focused, work hard and believe in their abilities. Her journey showed that ambition, discipline and perseverance can turn even an unconventional dream into reality.
Her story carried a powerful message for every student:
“The sky is not the limit—it is simply the beginning.”

A Memorable Full-Circle Moment
The session was led by Mr. Raja Mukherjee, who introduced Ms. Rateria and concluded the interaction by expressing gratitude and conveying his best wishes for her bright and high-flying future.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Vinod Kumar, Head of the Cambridge Programme. He appreciated Ms. Rateria for returning to the school and taking the time to guide and motivate its current students.
As a token of the school’s love and appreciation, Ms. Rateria was presented with a memento, marking a memorable full-circle moment between the institution and its alumna.
Several of her former teachers, including Mr. Vikas Dua, Ms. Shraddha Agrawal and Mr. Rajpal Singh, were also present during the session, making the homecoming even more meaningful.
