Mukund Verma Named Best Athlete as School Contingent Qualifies for the CBSE National Championship
Bhubaneswar: N.H. Goel World School, Raipur, delivered an outstanding performance and was crowned the Overall Under-19 Champion at the CBSE Zone Athletics Championship 2026, held at KIIT International School, Bhubaneswar.
The prestigious championship witnessed the participation of nearly 2,000 students from approximately 150 schools across Chhattisgarh, Odisha and West Bengal.
A major highlight was the performance of Mukund Verma, who was declared the Best Athlete of the Championship in the Under-19 Boys’ category. He won a gold medal in the long jump with a distance of 7.06 metres and a silver medal in the triple jump with a distance of 13.28 metres.

Nikhil Verma also recorded a personal best of 53.21 seconds in the 400 metres.
