Peer-Learning Strategy Builds Confidence, Understanding and Empathy
Raipur: Grade 2-I Cambridge learners at N.H. Goel World School regularly participate in “Buddy Up,” a peer-learning strategy that reflects the Cambridge approach to collaborative education.
Through Buddy Up, students work with learning partners to exchange ideas, explain concepts and support one another. These meaningful interactions help them understand lessons more clearly while building communication and teamwork skills.
Class Teacher Ms. Aradhana Mohanty has guided the learners to understand the value of being supportive and responsible partners since the beginning of the academic year.
“It has been a joy to see students confidently helping their peers, explaining concepts and working together with empathy and respect,” said Ms. Mohanty.
The strategy helps students develop important Cambridge Learner Attributes by becoming:
- Confident while sharing their ideas
- Responsible while supporting their partners
- Reflective while thinking about their learning
- Engaged while participating actively
Buddy Up has strengthened both academic learning and social-emotional development. It has also created an inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels respected, supported and valued.
When children learn together, they grow together—and every learner gets an opportunity to shine.
