tudents Strengthen Reading Skills and Write Their Own Original Short Stories

Raipur: Members of the Class 8 Library Reading Club at N.H. Goel World School took an exciting step forward in their literary journey by developing their reading abilities and creating original short stories.

During a series of engaging sessions, students practised reading with greater fluency, expression and understanding. They discussed different texts, explored ideas and strengthened their comprehension skills.

The learners then used their imagination to plan, write and craft their own short stories. The creative-writing exercise encouraged them to develop interesting characters, settings and storylines while expressing their ideas clearly.

The sessions helped students improve their:

  • Reading fluency and comprehension
  • Vocabulary and written expression
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Critical-thinking skills
  • Confidence as readers and writers

The students’ original stories reflected their hard work, enthusiasm and creative talent.

The activity showed that libraries are not only places where stories are read—they are also spaces where new stories begin.

From enthusiastic readers to imaginative authors, our young storytellers have turned every page into a new possibility.
