Hands-On Science Activity Connects Classroom Concepts with Everyday Tasks

Raipur: Grade 5 CBSE students of N.H. Goel World School participated in a practical Science activity on Simple Machines, designing and constructing working pulley models using simple materials.

Students assembled their models and demonstrated how they worked by lifting objects. Through experimentation, they observed how a pulley can change the direction of an applied force, making lifting tasks more convenient.

The activity encouraged teamwork, creativity and careful observation as students connected scientific principles with real-life applications. Building and testing their models helped them understand the working of a pulley through direct experience.

The session made learning interactive and enjoyable while strengthening students’ understanding of how simple machines assist us in everyday life.
