Raipur, Chhattisgarh — The GD Block came alive with literary enthusiasm and creative energy as students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 celebrated World Book Day through a vibrant two-day event held on 9th and 10th April. Centered around the inspiring theme, “Read, Imagine, Create!”, the celebration beautifully blended the joy of reading with the power of imagination and artistic expression.

The event witnessed wholehearted participation from students across all grades, transforming classrooms into hubs of storytelling, creativity, and intellectual exploration. A wide range of engaging activities encouraged students not only to read but also to interpret, reimagine, and creatively present their understanding of literature.

From character portrayals and storytelling sessions to creative writing, book discussions, and artistic representations, the celebration provided students with meaningful opportunities to express their ideas and connect deeply with the world of books.

The initiative successfully bridged the gap between reading and creativity, empowering students to move beyond passive reading and become active participants in the literary world. It reinforced the importance of books as gateways to knowledge, empathy, imagination, and lifelong learning.

The World Book Day celebration in the GD Block stood as a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a strong reading culture and nurturing confident, creative thinkers ready to shape the future.
