The much-anticipated 5-match cricket series commenced with a thrilling encounter between the Teachers and Students teams, igniting excitement and sporting spirit across the campus.
Leading from the front, Captain Ganesh Yadav showcased exceptional leadership for the Teachers team, while the Students team was spiritedly captained by Sarthak Duppad.
Winning the toss, the Teachers team elected to bat first—a decision that soon proved to be a masterstroke. The opening duo of Yadunandana A and Manish Kumar laid a solid foundation, with Manish Kumar crafting a commendable 39 runs. However, it was Captain Ganesh Yadav who stole the spotlight with a breathtaking unbeaten knock of 95 runs, studded with 8 magnificent fours and 8 towering sixes. His explosive innings powered the Teachers team to a formidable total of 150 runs in just 10 overs.
Chasing a challenging target, the Students team began with promise as Tanishk Patni and Captain Sarthak Duppad built a steady start. But the momentum soon shifted dramatically as the middle order faltered under pressure. The innings eventually folded at 93 runs, falling short against a disciplined bowling attack.
The turning point of the match came with a sensational bowling spell by Deepak Singh, who delivered a match-defining performance by claiming an incredible 5 wickets, dismantling the Students’ batting lineup and sealing the game in favor of the Teachers team.
Adding brilliance in the field, Ravi Parmar earned the title of Best Fielder for his agility and sharp presence on the ground.
With this commanding performance, the Teachers team secured a convincing victory in the opening match, setting a powerful tone for the rest of the series.
