A breathtaking atmosphere unfolded during the spectacular Opening Ceremony at the jam-packed Hilton Coliseum Stadium, where the NHGWS contingent marched proudly with the Indian Tricolour held high. The students stood shoulder-to-shoulder with nearly 15,000 brilliant young minds representing dozens of countries from across the globe, making it a truly unforgettable and emotional moment.
In a historic moment of pride for both the nation and the state of Chhattisgarh, a 29-member delegation from NH Goel World School (NHGWS), Raipur, is proudly representing India at the prestigious Odyssey of the Mind World Finals 2026 being held at Iowa State University, Ames, USA. The grand global event officially commenced on 27 May 2026.
Led by the school’s Science Coordinator Dr. M. N. Singh, the talented young innovators have carried India’s aspirations onto one of the world’s biggest platforms for creativity, innovation, and problem-solving. Their participation marks a landmark achievement not only for the school but for the entire state of Chhattisgarh.

During the four-day championship, the students of NH Goel World School will showcase their exceptional abilities in creative problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation. Competing before an international panel of judges, the teams will present solutions in both Long-Term and Spontaneous problem categories.
Organized by Odyssey of the Mind and hosted by Iowa State University, this world-renowned competition challenges students to think beyond boundaries and apply imagination, science, and logic to real-world situations.
The school management, teachers, parents, and the entire NHGWS community have extended their heartfelt wishes and blessings to these young achievers as they compete on the global stage and make India proud.
