In a moment that has filled the entire state of Chhattisgarh with pride and excitement, NH Goel World School, Raipur, has scripted history by becoming the first school delegation from the state to represent India at the prestigious Odyssey of the Mind World Finals 2026 in the United States of America.
A powerful contingent of 29 exceptionally talented students along with 3 dedicated educators has officially departed for the USA to compete on one of the world’s biggest stages of creativity, innovation, engineering, and problem-solving.
The grand international finale will be hosted at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, USA, from May 27 to May 30, 2026, where over 15,000 participants from nearly 150 countries will battle with ideas, imagination, and innovation.
A GLOBAL STAGE FOR YOUNG INDIAN INNOVATORS
Odyssey of the Mind is globally regarded as the ultimate creative problem-solving competition, where students are challenged to think beyond textbooks and transform imagination into reality.
The NH Goel World School team earned this extraordinary opportunity after successfully clearing multiple rigorous qualifying rounds held across India. Behind this achievement lies months of relentless hard work, brainstorming sessions, engineering experiments, artistic innovation, and sleepless dedication that began in September last year.

Along with participating in the World Finals, the school has also planned an extensive educational and cultural tour from May 24 to June 6, 2026, designed to provide students with world-class international exposure.

• New York City – Experiencing world culture, architecture, and history firsthand

The delegation is being led by the school’s highly respected Science Coordinator, Dr. M. N. Singh, whose visionary mentorship has played a pivotal role in shaping the students’ projects and confidence.
Supporting the team throughout the international journey are dedicated faculty members Ms. Vrishali Nalte and Ms. Vibha Singh, ensuring both competitive excellence and student safety.
