Raipur: Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to student safety and disaster preparedness, N.H. Goel World School, in collaboration with the Fire Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, organized a comprehensive Fire Safety Mock Drill to equip students with essential life-saving skills and emergency response techniques.
The awareness programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students from Classes VI and VII, who gained valuable hands-on experience in dealing with fire emergencies. The initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility, presence of mind, and preparedness, ensuring that students are well-equipped to respond effectively during unforeseen situations.
The session was conducted by Fire & Safety Officer Mohammed Faiz and his expert team, who delivered an engaging and informative demonstration on fire prevention, emergency protocols, and the importance of remaining calm during crises. The officers explained various fire hazards, preventive measures, and safety practices that can significantly reduce risks in everyday life.
One of the highlights of the programme was the live demonstration of fire extinguishers, where students learned the correct techniques for operating different types of extinguishers. The practical session was followed by a mock evacuation drill, during which students and staff efficiently evacuated the building in an orderly and disciplined manner under the guidance of the Fire Department officials. The exercise provided participants with real-time experience of emergency evacuation procedures and emphasized the importance of teamwork, alertness, and quick decision-making.
The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and actively engage with the experts, making the learning experience both informative and memorable. The drill reinforced the message that awareness, preparedness, and timely action are the most effective tools for preventing disasters and ensuring safety.
