Raipur: The swimming pool at N.H. Goel World School transformed into an arena of speed, endurance, and determination as students showcased extraordinary talent during the Inter House Swimming Competition 2026–27. Amid thunderous cheers, nail-biting finishes, and an electrifying atmosphere, swimmers from all four houses competed with remarkable confidence, turning every race into a celebration of courage, discipline, and sporting excellence.
The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes IV to VII, who competed in 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, and 4×25m Freestyle Relay events. Every dive into the pool reflected months of dedicated practice, while every stroke demonstrated perseverance, focus, and an unyielding desire to excel.
Among the standout performers, Dhriti Bajaj (Class VI-A) of Gyan House delivered a brilliant performance by clinching gold medals in both the 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke events in the Senior Girls category. In the Senior Boys category, Anant Dwivedi (Class VII-A) of Gyan House dominated the pool with spectacular victories in both the 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke events.
The young swimmers of Group I (Classes IV–V) also stole the spotlight with exceptional performances. Mehransh Singh Saluja (Class IV-I) emerged as the champion in the Junior Boys category by winning gold in both Freestyle and Backstroke, while Advika Singh (Class IV-I) delivered an equally remarkable performance, securing double gold in the Junior Girls category and winning admiration for her confidence and composure.
Adding another moment of pride to the championship, the school honoured the most outstanding performers with the prestigious Best Swimmer Awards. Advika Singh (Class IV-I) was declared the Best Junior Girl Swimmer, while Mehransh Singh Saluja (Class IV-I) earned the title of Best Junior Boy Swimmer. In the senior category, Dhriti Bajaj (Class VI-A) was crowned the Best Senior Girl Swimmer, and Anant Dwivedi (Class VII-A) received the Best Senior Boy Swimmer award for their exceptional consistency, speed, and dominance throughout the competition.
The relay races added another level of excitement to the championship, with teams displaying remarkable coordination and teamwork. Lakshya House emerged victorious in the Girls’ 4×25m Freestyle Relay, while Gyan House claimed top honours in the Boys’ 4×25m Freestyle Relay, drawing loud applause from spectators and house supporters.
After an exhilarating series of races, Lakshya House emerged as the Overall Inter House Swimming Champion, securing an impressive 87 points through consistent performances across individual and relay events. Gyan House finished as the runner-up with 66 points, followed by Karma House with 40 points, while Vishwas House earned 32 points, reflecting the fiercely competitive spirit of the championship.
The event was a true celebration of sportsmanship, resilience, and healthy competition. Every participant displayed remarkable determination, discipline, and respect for fellow competitors, embodying the values that define true champions both inside and outside the pool.
Congratulating the winners and participants, Director Administration Mr. S. K. Tomar and Principal Dr. Awinash Pandey applauded the students for their exceptional performances and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Sports Department, coaches, teachers, and officials for organizing a championship of the highest standard.
