Raipur: Who says mathematics cannot be fun? At N.H. Goel World School, the classrooms came alive with excitement, creativity, and laughter as Grade V students transformed the challenging concept of decimals into an engaging learning experience through the innovative “Decimal Board Game” Activity.

Returning to school after the summer holidays, the young mathematicians proudly brought their self-designed Decimal Board Games, each reflecting remarkable creativity, imagination, and conceptual understanding. The classroom soon turned into a vibrant learning arena as students enthusiastically presented their games, explained the rules, and invited their classmates to join the mathematical adventure.

Working collaboratively in pairs and small groups, the learners explored one another’s games while solving a variety of decimal-based challenges involving place value, comparison, rounding off, addition, and subtraction. Every board game was uniquely designed with colourful themes, exciting pathways, challenge cards, power cards, bonus moves, and creative shortcuts, making mathematical concepts both enjoyable and easy to understand.

The activity witnessed students confidently applying their knowledge of decimals while discussing strategies, solving problems, verifying answers, and encouraging their peers. Beyond strengthening mathematical skills, the initiative fostered critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, transforming learning into an interactive and joyful experience.

Raipur: The divine spirit of Rath Yatra came alive at N.H. Goel World School as the enthusiastic students of the Early Primary (EP) Block immersed themselves in a vibrant celebration of one of India’s most revered festivals. Titled “Echoes of Devotion: EP Celebrates Rath Yatra,” the event beautifully blended faith, culture, tradition, and experiential learning, creating unforgettable memories for the young learners.

The festive spirit was evident from the very beginning of the day. As the little children arrived at school, their smiling faces radiated excitement and anticipation, setting the tone for a celebration filled with joy and devotion. In their classrooms, mentors introduced the students to the significance of Rath Yatra, narrating the story of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra and helping the children understand the spiritual and cultural importance of the sacred chariot festival.

Elegantly dressed in colourful traditional attire, the students gathered in the AV Room for a captivating special assembly, meticulously presented by the talented students of Senior KG-D. Through confident narration, devotional presentations, and vibrant performances, the young learners beautifully showcased the rich traditions associated with Rath Yatra, earning heartfelt appreciation from the audience.

The highlight of the celebration was a lively and energetic devotional dance performance that filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm and devotion. The celebration reached its grand crescendo as the children enthusiastically participated in a symbolic Rath Yatra procession, joyfully pulling the beautifully decorated chariot from the AV Room to the EP Reception. The corridors echoed with devotional chants and cheerful smiles, creating an atmosphere of unity, faith, and festivity that captivated everyone present.

Adding a traditional touch to the celebration, the students later gathered in the cafeteria, where they were lovingly served Panjiri Prasad, allowing them to experience the customs and sacred traditions associated with the festival.

The celebration served as a meaningful learning experience, helping children connect with India’s rich cultural heritage while nurturing values of devotion, gratitude, unity, and respect for traditions. Raipur: Adding another glorious chapter to its legacy of academic excellence, N.H. Goel World School has once again demonstrated its scholastic brilliance as six of its students secured remarkable Zonal Medals, International Rankings, and Cash Awards in the prestigious Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) Olympiads. Their exceptional achievements reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing academic excellence and preparing students to compete successfully on national and international platforms.

Leading the list of achievers is Chris Nibin of Grade XI, who brought immense pride to the school by securing the Zonal Gold Medal (Rank 1) in the International English Olympiad (IEO). Chris also achieved an impressive International Rank 62 and was awarded a cash prize of ₹5,000 for this outstanding accomplishment.

Adding to the celebrations, Abir Duggar of Grade III earned the Zonal Gold Medal (Rank 2) in the International Social Studies Olympiad (ISSO). His phenomenal International Rank 7 placed him among the top performers globally, and he received a cash prize of ₹1,667.

In the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), Anaya Jaisinghani of Grade III secured the Zonal Silver Medal (Rank 2) with an International Rank 438, earning a cash prize of ₹2,500. Vihaan Agarwal of Grade VIII also excelled in the same Olympiad by winning the Zonal Silver Medal (Rank 3) and achieving an International Rank 815, along with a cash prize of ₹1,000.

The school’s success story continued in the International English Olympiad (IEO), where Atharv Agarwal of Grade VI secured the Zonal Bronze Medal (Rank 3) with an International Rank 348, receiving a cash prize of ₹1,000.

Further strengthening the school’s outstanding performance, Varin Rathod of Grade IV won the Zonal Bronze Medal (Rank 3) in the International Computer Science Olympiad (ICSO). With an impressive International Rank 45, he also received a cash prize of ₹1,000.

Carrying colourful fruits and vegetables as props, the tiny speakers confidently stepped onto the stage and spoke a few meaningful sentences about the object they had chosen. With bright smiles and remarkable enthusiasm, the students described the names, colours, tastes, nutritional values, and health benefits of various fruits and vegetables, making the learning experience both informative and enjoyable.

The school’s winning streak continued in the International Social Studies Olympiad (ISSO), conducted on 23 January 2025, where students from Grades III to X earned Gold Medals through their outstanding knowledge of history, geography, civics, and current affairs. Goel World School, under the guidance of 3 CG Air Squadron NCC, Raipur, embarked on an inspiring aviation exposure programme featuring Simulator Flying at Shri Shankaracharya College, Raipur, followed by an educational visit to the airport to witness the NCC Microlight Aircraft Virus SW80.

The unique learning experience provided cadets with an exciting glimpse into the fascinating world of aviation and aerospace. During the simulator flying session, the cadets experienced the fundamentals of aircraft operation, flight controls, take-off, landing, navigation, and cockpit procedures in a realistic flight simulation environment. The hands-on activity enhanced their understanding of aviation while strengthening their confidence, decision-making abilities, and technical awareness.

The excitement continued with an educational visit to the airport, where the cadets closely observed the NCC Microlight Aircraft Virus SW80. They were introduced to the aircraft’s features, operational capabilities, safety protocols, and the vital role of microlight aircraft in NCC Air Wing training. Goel World School transformed into an arena of speed, endurance, and determination as students showcased extraordinary talent during the Inter House Swimming Competition 2026–27. Amid thunderous cheers, nail-biting finishes, and an electrifying atmosphere, swimmers from all four houses competed with remarkable confidence, turning every race into a celebration of courage, discipline, and sporting excellence.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes IV to VII, who competed in 25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, and 4×25m Freestyle Relay events. Every dive into the pool reflected months of dedicated practice, while every stroke demonstrated perseverance, focus, and an unyielding desire to excel.

Among the standout performers, Dhriti Bajaj (Class VI-A) of Gyan House delivered a brilliant performance by clinching gold medals in both the 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke events in the Senior Girls category. In the Senior Boys category, Anant Dwivedi (Class VII-A) of Gyan House dominated the pool with spectacular victories in both the 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke events.
